Digital Media Investigations

Digital Media Investigators (DMI) are in important role in any organisation dealing with investigations.

Ideally they should be technically competent and have a keen interest in technology and problem solving. 

DMI courses are in a modular model comprising of 3 courses.

• Module 1 a 3 day course including smartphone examinations, wifi, and digital triage.
• Module 2 a 4 day course, scenario based, walking through the role of a DMI in the major incident room, with a scenario threaded throughout the 4 days. 
• Module 3 a 3 day course including cloud data (with an optional 4th day of IoT (internet of things) and gaming examinations and cloud based applications connected to gaming and IoT, looking at the connected home. 

These modules can be done in any order, however, Module 3 will require a reasonable level of technical competence and a reasonable understanding of technology and computing.
