Neil Greenough is the founder of Spectrum Digital Training and an experienced law enforcement professional with a background in utilising new and emerging tactics in particular in homicide and child abuse investigations. He also has had significant success when attending offender management visits, identifying breaches of court orders on every visit.
I have developed and delivered training programs designed to support officers and investigators working with high-risk individuals, including registered sexual offenders and counter terrorism nominals.
My approach focuses on improving operational confidence and providing practical guidance on how offenders exploit technology, conceal activity, and communicate through modern digital platforms.
Through Spectrum Digital Training, I provide professional development and capability-building courses covering topics such as device examination opportunities, smartphone awareness, internet artefacts, the dark web, VPNs, encrypted messaging, cloud data, Wi-Fi opportunities, and emerging technology trends including AI, gaming, and IoT.
My training style is structured, clear, and operationally relevant, with a strong emphasis on realistic scenarios, effective record keeping, and improving the quality of intelligence and safeguarding outcomes. Exercises are threaded throughout the training to ensure that students are very "hands on" with devices, rather than front loaded power point type presentations.
I have over 30 years experience working in Law Enforcement, 20 of which were in the online / digital space.
I was described as a pioneer in Law Enforcement, pushing the boundaries and using new and emerging tactics and techniques in homicides and child abuse investigations to successful outcomes at court. I have an extensive knowledge of digital tactics in investigations and received a number of both local and national awards as a result of my work.
I remain passionate about assisting Law Enforcement and other Government Agenices safeguard vulnerable adults and children online and to be able to investigate suspects / offenders more robustly and want to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with professionals in this area of business.
